Privacy policy

Who we are
Peckham Removals is the data controller for information you send through this website. Our contact address for data protection matters is hello@peckham-removals.uk.
What we collect
When you ask for a quote we collect your name, phone number, email address, both addresses, your preferred date if you give one, and whatever you write in the notes. If you email us, we hold the contents of that email.
The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA. Google receives technical information about the request in order to tell a person from an automated submission, subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms.
The business downstairs, and your neighbours
This site actively encourages speaking to the business underneath you, and we offer to do it ourselves. What we say when we do is deliberately limited: which day, roughly how long we expect to be, and that we will keep their frontage clear.
We do not tell them your name, where you are moving to, or why. The same applies to neighbours, a concierge, a caretaker or anybody else in the building. If somebody asks us who we are working for, the answer is “a resident”.
Councils and managing agents
Where you ask us to advise on or apply for a parking bay suspension, or where a managing agent requires documentation, we share only what those parties need — typically the address, the date and the nature of the work.
Why we hold it
To quote and to do the job. That is our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry you started, and where you book, performance of a contract with you.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or pass them to lead-generation companies or comparison sites.
Who else sees it
Our own staff and crew, and our hosting and email providers, who process it on our behalf under contract. Where a storage facility is involved, we share only what they need.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted once they are plainly stale. Completed jobs are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, insurance and claims purposes, and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@peckham-removals.uk. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. reCAPTCHA sets cookies necessary for its anti-abuse function when you use the form.
Changes
If we change this policy the updated version appears on this page.
